I've been using Eclipse for a while now (just started using 3.1) and for the first time find the latest version of PyDev useful. I agree that the eclipse interface is "sprawling" but stick with it and read the documentation. It's really developer friendly once you get the hang of it. All I'd like now is for PyDev to support automated PyUnit test build and run for TDD :-)
