Where do .pth files go in python 2.4.1 running on osx 10.4.2? My best guess (after a few not-so-good-ones) was:
/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/lib/python2.4/site-
packages/
But my python is still looking in the wrong place for its newly
compiled modules.
