I'm trying to build Cheetah 0.9.18 (the template engine) on OSX 10.3 with python 2.4.1 (a framework build). I found other people having similar problems with Zope or PIL.
I get an error inside the distutils stuff that seems like it's tracing back to how python was built. As best I can tell, it's looking for an OPT var inside of the Makefile (possibly the one at /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/lib/python2.4/config/Makefile ?). The closest thing to a solution that I've seen was at: http://nixdoc.net/files/forum/about47446.html But that's just an accurate assesment of what's wrong. Has anyone else encountered this? Am I just searching on the wrong terms? Thanks, Eli Here's the command lines and stack traces: ~/Downloads/Cheetah-0.9.18> python ./setup.py build running build running build_py running build_ext Traceback (most recent call last): File "./setup.py", line 13, in ?
