http://beta.python.org/ They're using a logo from http://www.pythonology.com/logos. Personally, I prefer the foot, perhaps in front of or crushing an apple (not Apple's apple -- perhaps a photorealistic McIntosh), or Kevin's idea of Python spelled out in Life of Brian blocks.
