Python 2.4.3/IDLE 1.1.3; appscript just raises a 'no window manager connection' in the interpreter window. Dunno why. >>[1] OT: I rather suspect IDLE's very un-Mac-like look and feel makes it more >>of a liability than an advantage in terms of attracting new users, but this >>is a different discussion for another time... > >Feel free to send patches to make IDLE's look&feel more mac-like :-). IDLE is >all we've got at the moment. Indeed. And it would make a lovely little MacPython editor if only someone were willing and able to lavish lots of TLC on its UI. As I say, another discussion for another time - not dissing it, just noting that even the nicest of icons isn't going to solve all its problems. And I definitely don't have any time at the moment to contribute - still getting to grips with Cocoa, never mind learning Tk as well. I know my limits, and they suck. :p has -- http://freespace.virgin.net/hamish.sanderson/ _______________________________________________ Pythonmac-SIG maillist - Pythonmac-SIG@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/pythonmac-sig
