I have an alternative Python spotlight importer, if anyone's interested. It's based on John Wiseman's Lisp Metatdata Importer and uses regular expressions, rather than PyObjC, making it much faster and leaner than the other one that's circulating out there (40x faster for my source directories). The importer and sources can be downloaded from http://homepage.mac.com/wtpollard/Software/FileSharing5.html I really don't care what anyone does with it.
