Is there a way to "compile" the python code and get access to the

Did anybody ever implement AutoComplete in a editor for Python?

You might want to try the pyXIDEs list -- this certainly isn't a Mac-specific question:

An anycase, there are some open-source tools that do AutoComplete, I"d look for them and look at their code.

And you can compile to code to .pyc files without running it, and there are tools to examine the results. I've never done any of that, you might want to try comp.lang.python. In the meantime, check out these functions and modules:

compile()
compiler
code
codeop
