For maximum support, I use the 32bit Universal Python from python.org. That should run everywhere 10.4 (and probably 10.3.9) and greater, Intel and PPC. 64 bit is still sketchy (no wxPython support, for example).

You dependencies need to all be Universal and built with the 10.4 sdk.

The easiest way to accomplish all this is to build on 10.4.
