I've looked at the header files and indeed, the function AEProcessEvent is only 
available on OSX 10.5 or later.

Does your appliction need the argv emulator? This is used to ensure that 
sys.argv has a value when you drop a file on your application (or double click 
on a file that is associated with your application).
