Hi Nathan

Unfortunately as far as I understand it doesn't do that at all. Before I got a
GPS device I would:
 * Record my route on www.geodistance.com (currently it doesn't save routes
online but does let you download a .kml file)
 * Note the distance to any lap points along the route that I timed along the
way
 * Write down the times and distances for each lap (or for the whole distance)
 * Run a little script I made that would convert the .kml file to gpx, and
estimate the times to each point along the route by averaging the speed for
that lap
 * Import the result into pytrainer
I think it would be great indeed if you could just map the route in pytrainer
and record lap times along the way though...

Cheers
David

Subject: [Pytrainer-devel] How do I use the way points feature?

I don't have a GPS device so when I log a run I need to explicitly
provide the running distance. The way I determine my running distance
is usually by using Google Maps to roughly measure the route I took.
This is not so great since I don't get to keep a record of the routes
I have taken, just the distances.

I have a feeling I should be able to use Pytrainer's Waypoints feature
to accomplish this but I can't figure out how to do so. How is the
Waypoint feature supposed to work?
