Great. Your considerations really fit to some typical use cases, I think. I saw you included 'from pace' to obtain the distance, but now don't know whether cyclists could complain ;) Could it make sense to introduce a 'preferred_velocity_representation' (speed/pace) to the types of sport itself? What about other issues/pitfalls you already started to collect? Shall these be discussed here on the list, or better be commented within the wiki?
