I'm not near a Windows machine so this is from memory......
I think there are 2 ways to install the Windows libusb driver, the "normal"
way (like above), and a wrapper option. You get to pick which mode at
install time. I've not used the wrapper option but I think that mode is
supposed to allow co-existing drivers. I've only ever used the first form
for my project, I was the sole user of the device (there were no windows
drivers available).
This is more of a libusb question than PyUSB so you may get better results
from a libusb mailing list.
