Thanks for the suggestions.  I am looking into creating a driverless 
driver, but what about libhid?  Which would be easier to setup in my 
environment?  Keep in mind I am just starting to learn Linux and Python.  
And I had a hell of a time getting pyusb and libusb to work in pydev for 
Esclipse.
