TASK DESCRIPTION IMO this could be a good solution for textlib replaceExcept. http://reparse.readthedocs.org/en/latest/ And other layers on top of it which may be useful. https://andychase.me/date_machine/ It would be great if some commonly used i18n strings were extracted from translatewiki and packaged as reparse rules. e.g. month names. A lot of the other patterns in date.py could also be moved into data files.
