jayvdb added a comment. The simplest case is the script `unusedfiles.py`. Note English Wikipedia is not supported (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/231540/). However Farsi and Italian Wikipedia may be using this script. The template is used quite a bit on Italian Wikipedia: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciale:PuntanoQui/Template:Immagine_orfana . @ladsgroup may be about to help explain the status for Farsi Wikipedia.
Anyway, the test will run on test.wikipedia, so some templates will need to be created and added to the script configuration. The test user needs to upload a file, and then the script should post the message to their user talk.
