For other UI classes, you'd really want more of a two-directional link: the UI has a way to figure out which parameters can be used, and has a way to report the set parameters back to the bot class. I'm not entirely convinced our current UI structure allows us to do this, so I think we should take a step back further (what kind of information is needed where) for cases where one wants to invoke a bot from a GUI or web interface.
