TASK DESCRIPTION
The following messages aren't used anymore since Pywikibot 7.0; I guess they
can be removed after a delay with Pywikibot 9 but this can break some
functionality for older Pywikibot releases. Unfortunately there is no way to
implement a deprecation warning for older releases.

data.api handles any known exception or an uncatched exception is explicitly
