Well, with help from Valhallas I am a bit further now... I have SVN installed, and contacted the repository. The remaining issue at the moment is that I need a key (more precisely, a public/private key pair), and the one that I used to have was located on a hard disk that since then has crashed (and of which I of course had not made a back up).
