Hi Merlijn van Deen I wrote program for Picasa batch upload using Google Data API . It works the same way as other batch upload works.
I have uploaded couple of Google albums using this. Can you please update me to make it available in Pywikipedia. I will write-up the usage page in MediaWiki once you approve Regards, Jenith **
