In fact you are right and PEP8 is a good thing, regarding pyflakes I
do not know this yet. I heard of "pylint" also.

As I see is xqt very active in PEP8 code style changes, so I would
advice you to contact him. In general I assume nobody within this
community has a strong oppinion against proper code style... ;)
