You can see my first pre-mature manual/how to on [1]. This manual needs to be further improved - anybody is free to help - but e.g. the compat part which was mentioned explicitely is hard to handle before I get the new additional repos requested on this list... ;) But in fact the procedure described there for compat *should* work already for most of the bots, so please test it and give feedback to us.
