Yes, I guessed so. I was just wondering if someone had remembrances of
something similar.

I searched compat as well but same result.
In compat there is something similar in
userinterfaces/terminal_interface_base.py, askForCaptcha(self, url).
But there the input is handled by wikipedia.input().

Maybe someone had in mind to improve it and left it half-done.

I guess it needs  to be fixed.
