Well, in general the solution is easy: just insert the proper paths in
the siteconfig.py file. The default location of this file should be
/usr/lib/pythonx.x/site-packages/pyx, but your milage may vary (and
that's fine) depending on your local setup (i.e. where things get
installed).

The PyX setup.py script takes care of installing the lfs files to a
proper location *and* writing this location to the siteconfig.py file.
All the trouble starts as soon as the installation is moved to another
place without PyX letting know of it.

That's basically all ... and the standard distutils functionality can
(and should) be used to set the proper paths from the very beginning.
It then should work without any manual modifications. Otherwise adjust
siteconfig.py yourself ...
