Hi Charles, after fixing the close_fds issue (changeset 3179) and the filelocator problem (changeset 3180) described in the email quoted below, it now seems to work for TeX in Windows (I tried with MiKTeX 2.9 on Windows XP). I have to look for the LaTeX issue reported in another email in this thread.
