Hi William,

you might want to use the LaTeX mode and use LaTeX functionality to alter the 
font. http://pyx.sourceforge.net/examples/text/font.html is a very basic 
example. You may want to refer to some LaTeX documentation about fonts, for 
example http://www.tug.dk/FontCatalogue/. Depending on your LaTeX installation 
many of the examples shown might work out of the box. Otherwise you can always 
add fonts to your LaTeX installation, but this quickly becomes a quite 
difficult topic though.

An easy solution for changing the size of the output is to scale it in PyX. 
unit.set(xscale=...) might be helpful.
