Oops, yeah, in fact it defined the \Sun symbol. However, I get another
error which I don't get (apparently it is a problem exporting the graph as
EPS, i.e., it crashes at the g.writeEPSfile("testhistogram") line):

RuntimeError: missing font information for 'mathb7'; check fontmapping
