Hi Alan, hi Michael, I'm sorry for being quiet for so long. I do understand the problem, and I actually consider the function plotting feature to be barely existing at all within PyX. We can do much better. I do have a plan, how to do it. I actually have it for years, but never got to implement it. I take it to my TODO list, to be addressed in a few weeks, but not at the moment. I don't have time for it right now. My goal is to properly plot things like y(x)=sin(exp(x)) and such things as well, not just to properly handle poles.
