There is already an entire section called "Easy QA Tasks" on the orientation page: http://openoffice.apache.org/orientation/intro-qa.html BZ already has a way to search for unconfirmed defects and to assign them to QA volunteers. I don't think we want to reinvent that tracking on a wiki page. In any case, the real help will come from more experienced volunteers who actually help the new volunteers, answer their questions, etc. This is not something that is improved by having more links on a wiki . We need people who are willing to get their hands dirty, engage with the new volunteers, answer their questions, review their work, give feedback, etc. Heck, even editing webpages to improve them is a way to help. But apparently I'm the only one doing any of this. -Rob > [1] http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/Tasks/DefectTask > > > On Thu, Jan 31, 2013 at 9:09 PM, Alexandro Colorado <[email protected]> wrote: > >> i have found this intro modules lacking of instructional steps to take >> in order to start working. althought it does compile a good list of >> activities to get started, it just concludes to links where a new user >> would be lost or simply ignore. >> >> IMO a sandbox tutorial should be added to allow user to understand the >> cycle of an issue. >> >> On 1/31/13, Ji Yan <[email protected]> wrote: >> > Hi Javier, >> > >> > Welcome on board.
