Note the "issue type" field. By default it is set to "defect". But there are also other values: -- "enhancement" is for an enhancement of an existing feature -- "feature" is for a new feature So in this case just change the issue type to enhancement or feature. When you do this "confirmed" means that you have checked to see that the feature doesn't already exist. In some cases, the user could be confused.
