Volunteer testing

Hi,
I'm an italian student of economics and I would like to help you to 
improve OpenOffice.
I'm a medium user, I'm quite familiar with the basics of informatics. I 
use both linux and Windows (the second mostly) and I often happen to 
need a program for writing and calcutalting. I would like to learn the 
basics of databases too, but I would need a very easy, short and clear 
guide for it. I know no programming language and I never collaborated to 
an opensource project.
But I care much about details (for which, unfortunately, in my humble 
opinion as a basic user, Microsoft Office still wins) and I have 
enthusiasm and a great passion for opensource.
If my contribution were of any help for the community, I would be glad 
to give it to this cause.
