This is how I reason about reports like this: 1) Is he doing something common? Yes, he is trying to install AOO 3.4.1 on Windows. 2) Has AOO 3.4.1 been released for a long time? Yes, it has been released since August 2012. We've had 10's of millions of users have downloaded and installed. So it is very very unlikely that this is reporting an actual defect in the product. It is probably a strange machine configuration, conflict with another application on the system, etc. So in cases like this I simply refer the user to the support forums at http:\\forum.openoffice.org and close the issue as RESOLVED/IRREPRODUCIBLE. Note: If this was a new release, say one released last week, then we would be much more careful, since this might be first of many reports on an install issue. But after many months we are aware of all of the bugs in common, basic operations like install. Regards, -Rob > Regards, > Daniel Alvaro
