I think one of the challenges of testing OpenOffice Base is that not many people use it. We're all familiar with word processors, spreadsheets and presentations, but not everyone uses databases.
I look on the wiki for QA Testing Preferences: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/QA+Testing+Preferences And I see that almost no one says they know Base, but many say they are willing to learn. Well.... Now is the time to learn ;-) I looked around for good tutorials and saw many recomendations for "Base Tutorial: From Newbie to Advocate in a one, two... three!" by Mariano Casanova: http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?p=201074#p201074 So maybe we can accomplish two things at once? If a few of us work through the tutorial on AOO 4.0, then we can teach ourselves Base, while testing the functionality described in the tutorial at the same time. What do you think?
