Hi,

I tried to use the offsets in the subtitles/geometry tab and also
the transparency slider in the Font tab. All that has no effect
for me. Does it work for somebody else?

More detailed: I start with a project containing a little movie, a
button to play it and a button to enable the subtitles. To add
subtitles I do the following:
- drag the movie into the subtitle source window,
- "Add Subtitle", German, subtitle number 0
- select font tab, set size to 20, Font color to black, move both
  transparencies to 0.49
- select geo tab, "Align Center", "Shrink subtitle size"
- now I play the movie, press start, end, type the subtitle and
  do "add new"
- when I create the dvd now, the subtitle is vertically aligned,
which I find very stupid. I is nicely outlined, however, there
is no transparency, the text is black, regardless of the
  background.

- Meanwhile the list of all subtitle texts is empty (before
create dvd it had one entry), therefore I reselect the movie,
which lets my only subtitle reappear in this list.

- I set now the Y offset to 400 and create the dvd again. But in
subtitle_0.xml, which is fed to spumux, yoffset only changes
from 223 to 274, and it stays 274, regardless what I put into
  the Y offset field.

- I save the project now and restart qdvdauthor. It somehow
remembered that I chose "shrink subtitle size", but the Y
offset is now 51 all of a sudden! Changing that again has no
effect whatsoever. Changing the only 51 in the project xml
file, also has no effect. It looks like the Y offset is
  hardcoded to 51.

I would appreciate any hints for moving the subtitles to the
bottom, where they do belong...

Bye,

Hendrik

Bye,

Hendrik
