It should but we follow BeOS naming of [pt]tys which is a bit different,
AFAIK the calls to allocate ptys were never standardized anyway...
I think we do have /dev/tmux and openpty() now but I never tried it.
I don't remember if I tried shell buffers in qemacs yet.

Hmm my XEmacs port isn't finished, I think I had it working but I
probably patched this part too there. Long since I tried M-x shell in there.
