This is a follow-up to the thread at https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2016-09/msg01396.html which introduces an explicit alignment to the DMA helpers to facilitate conversion of the macio controller over to use the now byte-aligned DMA helpers.
Patch 1 introduces an alignment parameter as suggested by Paolo above, whilst patch 2 performs the conversion for the macio controller.
