Hi, I am using qemu to boot minix 3.1.2a. I am using following versions,
qemu -> qemu-0.8.1-i386 (pre compiled) kqemu -> kqemu-1.3.0pre9 (compiled using gcc version 4.1.0 SUSE Linux ) linux-kernel -> 2.6.16.13-4-bigsmp Messages after inserting kqemu module, -------------------------------------- kqemu: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag. QEMU Accelerator Module version 1.3.0, Copyright (c) 2005-2006 Fabrice Bellard This is a proprietary product. Read the LICENSE file for more information Redistribution of this module is prohibited without authorization KQEMU installed, max_locked_mem=1815748kB. -------------------------------------- I am using following command to boot minix3, qemu -boot d -m 256 -cdrom ./IDE-3.1.2a.iso After this command minix3 starts booting but after starting "init" server it stops / hangs. If I choose to boot minix3 with "-no-kqemu" option then it works properly.
