Also sorry for not getting back to this; we've been busy with other Zephyr toolchain adventures. Of course, I've lost a lot of state related to this, but to the best of my memory, I added this change while I was trying to get the reset logic sorted out; using -kernel made that easier, but this patch is no longer necessary.
