Yes, it might. main() only seems to call cpus.c:pause_all_vcpus(), so neither first_cpu nor the CPU(Arch)State would get cleaned up. But then again all my comments are based on qemu.git master whereas Wei-Ren is working on 0.14.x IIRC.
