GDAL 1.7 should (untested-no win here) be on osgeo4w now: any plans on using

The qgis-dev package use GDAL 1.7. 1.6 has no python support and no ECW/MrSID
support yet. So I thought it's better to stick with 1.6 for qgis.

Hi Jurgen.
What do you mean saying that 1.6 has no python support?
All the best.

Paolo,

I have not yet built the gdal17-python package for OSGeo4W. I assume he
meant 1.7, not 1.6. I did *try* but the setup.py checks if Visual Studio
is in the registry and it is not on my system. Oh, that pisses me off.

Best regards,
