Hi

the main idea was to create a push button solution with some flexibility. The
user or admin can define the available paper sizes and scales in an XML
(preferences.xml) file. And there is some basic support for creating your own
layouts (layouts.xml); eg. footer, header, text, icons, arrow etc. These
layouts should work with all available papersizes.

regards
Stefan

Betreff: [Qgis-developer] easyprint instead of quick print?

Hi all,

I just had a look to the plugin repository of Stefan Ziegler

http://www.catais.org/qgis/plugins.xml

and tested his "easyprint" plugin.

This plugin creates, with a click, a print layout just as the "quick
print" plugin does, but it does as a standard print composer one,
instead of creating a fixed, not editable, layout.

The "easyprint" plugin was obviously made for a specific situation but
I'll still see it a strong candidate to replace the "quick print" plugin
bacause this has really no flexibility, a few bugs and doesn't seems to
be developed anymore.

what do you think about?

cheers
