Hi Richard,
thank you for your answer. What you describe is exactly what I am aiming
at: I have a custom form (ui) which should pop up when the user clicks
on a menu-action. There is some Python work on selected geometries prior
to the form showing. I could of course translate the form into Python
but then I would have to programmatically enter all form values in their
respective fields. Generally speaking I like to use as much
out-of-the-box functionality, so for users the plugin behaves as they
would expect from their prior experience using QGIS.
all the best

Hi Bernard,
I don't know, but looking at the dev's:
I think it would be really usefull (with the right pointers I vollunteer
to make an example in the wiki) because in that way it would be very
easy to make a 'custom input plugin', in which a combination of a custom
form and some pre-show and post-show python magic can make a great input
application (I'm thinking about some field application in which some
inputs are generated based on earlier inputs, or gps location etc etc).
Hope you get some input.

Richard

Hi all,
I have asked this last week already but got no response. Is it possible
to open the feature form from a python script?
Maybe the answer is so obvious that nobody felt responsible to give it.
I read the api-doc back and forth and did not find any clue. So if I was
asked I would answer no, this is not possible. Can anybody confirm (or
better disprove :) this?
regards
