It would be great if any changes made to the attributes by user input
would be saved to the feature if the layer is in editing mode (same as
when opened through "view feature form"). Is there any chance of
implementing this with a reasonable effort?
In that case I would open a new ticket (or reopen #3015?)
Otherwise I would go throug reading out all values and applying changes
through my code. How can I access the QDialog from Python then (after
user clicked "OK")?
