Has this:

(ancient) bug somehow come to life?

When I create a new point shapefile in version 1.6, on WinXP, each new point is located exactly on top of the previous regardless of where I click in the map composer. I can use the "Move feature" tool to move the points around, and view their attribs in the table, so they are indeed created, but not in the clicked location. If I save edits and restart editing, all additional points are on top of the last entered point, again ignoring where I click.

This behavior appears only in 1.6 (in 1.7 it seems to be OK), and only on shapefiles (not spatialite) and only on Windows. Since 1.6 is the current stable (I guess...) perhaps the fix should be "backported".

Regards,

Micha
