Hi

Its just a little thing, but I'm just wondering if there is any feeling about
the name of the QgsMapLayer.getLayerID() function, and whether it would be much
better to just be called id().

I find the existing name hard to remember, confusing in its capitalisation, and
inconsistent with the general naming conventions (for example QgsFeature.id()).

Is there any support for deprecating this member in favour of .id()? Or strong
objection for that matter?

Cheers
Chris
