Are you talking about my FileBrowser plugin, if so I was thinking about adding support to delete and rename files some time in the future just have been super busy and haven't had a chance. If someone wants to try it for me the code is up on https://github.com/madmanwoo/QGIS-File-Browser you can just fork and do what you need. I will happily take any help.
