QGIS is written in C++, and supports (C)Python scripting. Even if a C++/Java
binding is technically possible, IMHO it isn't a advisable.
Natural softwares for Jyhon/Java development can be gvSIG, uDig, OpenJump,
and the rest of the Java gfoss tools..
