Just to be sure, I did the downgrade to 1.6 (ubuntugis-stable repository) and everything is running smoothly again.

Sending two shapefiles that I'm using and the project (.qgs) I am trying to publish. Everything works fine, except Identify tool who does not act as declared in the GetCapabilities (<Layer queryable="1">). >>Possible is also a library conflict if you have several qgis libs on your >>system. I do not know if this could be the problem, because one of the machines I'm running has a Ubuntu clean installation. Thanks for your support!
