FYI, I agree that the osgeo4w is better for many reasons, and at our
training courses I always show both ways to install QGIS on Windows.
What I see is that the common users are sometimes not willingly to leave
the "next -> next -> next -> finish" paradigm on Windows. This is why
trying osgeo4w in many cases they fall in the "trap" of selecting every
package available, a case that as we know can generate a few error
messages.
