Hi!

No, I just run the upgrade, which is supposed to remove whatever has
to be removed.
Once I removed libqgis1.7.3, both problems were solved but had
problems with python-gdal.
I have had to downgrade python-gdal from 1.9.0.1 to 1.8.0-2, do not
know why (I thought this problem had been solved).

So, before upgrading to qgis 1.7.4 at least on ubuntu 10.04 64bits,
1. Remove libqgis1.7.3
2. Do not upgrade to python-gdal 1.9.0.1, or, if you do, downgrade to
python-gdal 1.8.0-2 in Synaptic by
2.1. Select pyton-gdal in the package list
2.2. Click on Packages/Force version and select 1.8.0-2

Thanks

Agus
