Or maybe you did mean compiling Qt from source.  But I didn't see any problem 
in what that qtcentre forum thread mentioned - the referenced pro file does not 
force a source file for later system version, it starts from the lower versions 
and works up.

Anyways - I compiled Qt on 10.6 (just to be sure the Lion SDK bug doesn't bite) 
and all is OK with QtWebKit.
